What are the dangers of my girlfriend getting pregnant?

Tuesday, August 23rd, 2011 | Permalink

She smokes so she tells me that her doctor says taking the birth control pill is double the cancer risk. I told her that one of my ex GFs used a diaphragm. She said that is like wearing a cap over your uterus and it is a hard cap that is uncomfortable and an awkward feeling during intercourse. She said she could get an IUD but she and I want to have kids after we get married within the next 12 months and she thinks its a pain to install and remove in that short a time span.
I have been using condoms as the only acceptable contraceptive method that my girlfriend accepts and trusts. I have even looked into getting a male birth control pill and she rolled her eyes at that and said she doesn’t trust it.
I have erectile dysfunction sometimes and I take Levitra for that. I find that the time I have to take to put a condom on takes away from the passion of the moment. My girlfriend has caught me having unprotected sex with her and freaks out. Last night, we did it a few times with condoms and once unprotected. She really liked the last time we did it and I thought she would ask me if I was wearing a condom. Without that stupid rubber on, I was getting much more erect and my girlfriend enjoyed the sex more. I also have problems ejaculating inside her so I am not sure if she could get pregnant with what we did.
Can a woman get pregnant from a man who has unprotected sex with her and he does not ejaculate inside her? When I am ready to finish myself off, I pull out and masturbate. I am not a doctor but I would think the sperm has to shoot up her tubes to fertilize her eggs in order for her to get pregnant. Women are not rabbits.
I lost my virginity 20 years ago and I was in a marriage in which my wife was sick all the time and we rarely had sex. My girlfriend and I are in our 40s.
We want to get married next year, in 12 months and plan to have children. We are dating right now and although I would marry her now if she got pregnant it would be better to wait and use contraception for a year until we are married.
As long as I remove my penis from her vagina before I ejaculate, is my girlfriend safe from getting pregnant? Can small amounts of sperm get into her reproductive system while we are having intercourse. through my male lubrication in my penis, that could cause her to become pregnant?
My girlfriend is afraid to use spermicides? The warning labels caution that the foam may irritate and sting the vaginal tissues and that warning freaks her out. Are there any mild spermicides for women with sensitive skin?

Answer:

The withdrawal method is not fool proof as she can get pregnant from pre cum and personally I kind of think it ruins the moment in a loving relationship. I have smoked for 20 years unfortunately and been on and off the pill for 16 but if she’s worried about this then it’s her choice. Maybe she could look into the depo injection, one small jab every 3 months or maybe the patch (which I personally know very little about but it worth investigating). I think the best thing you can do is go to the family planning clinic or doctor and talk through different options

What would be a good medicine over the counter or prescription that can be used for Impotence. My boyfriend ?

Sunday, August 21st, 2011 | Permalink

suffers from Impotence. He has tried Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra. None of the work for him except it will make him sick. He has been diagnosed with addictive personality, so his body has a difficult time taking medication as he has tried several medications ranging from aspirins, Dilaudid, Depakote amongst others that were given to him from doctor for back pain. Some medications doctors say will cause one to get sleepy with other side effects, however with him once he takes these medications although it relaxes him a bit it has the opposite effect on him. He’ll try really hard to sleep but due to medication not working he stays awake. Doctors tried finding medication that would work but thus far nothing. He and I felt maybe there could be either a combination of two medications together or herbal remedies would work in regard to the Impotence. He feels that although the other medical issues are important he can for the most part cope with 50-60% of pain he endures but feels that there must be something he could take for the Impotence just as we believe the same is true for his medical issues. Therefore I ask does anyone know of a medication(s) either prescribed or over the counter that would work and has been known as having positive results with close to null in side effects? Any suggestions & advice would be appreciated.

Answer:

If many of those drugs don’t work, then the problem could well be psychological. Talk with him, is something bothering him? Is he dwelling on some problem? Was he sexually abused as a child? There are counsellors out there who specialise in sexual matters. Might be a good idea to try that.

E.D. drugs and grapefruit juice?

Wednesday, August 17th, 2011 | Permalink

I was reading up on E.D. drugs such as Cialis and Levitra, both warn against drinking grapefruit juice while taking these medications but neither say why. However when they warn of other things, such as taking Nitrates, they do say why.
Anyway, I am wondering if there is anyone who knows (with out speculating) why one should avoid grapefruit juice when using E.D. drugs?
@ onlymatch4u, Thank you for your input, however you do not say what the interaction between E.D. drugs and grapefruit juice IS. I want to know exactly what happens should such an interaction were to take place. And I never said I was using these drugs, just that I was reading up on them and was curious about this “undescribed” side effect.
@ D Johnson, You think? I do believe that is exactly what I refered to in my question. Now why don’t you dazzle us and explain WHY, as in “HOW COME”, they don’t advise it!

Answer:

There are many drugs that have a bad interaction with grapefruit juice. There are many good things in grapefruit juice, like Quinine that is a wonderful infection fighter, but listen to the drug companies on this one. Not a good idea to mix the two.

In regard to ED, why not fix the problem instead of just Managing the disease? Drug companies are making huge bags of money on this and it’s not a drug deficiency causing the problem, but IS A NUTRITIONAL problem. Go meet with a Certified Nutritional Therapist that can truly help you solve the problem. Become healthy, not a statistic.

good luck to you

Could you tell me again why teachers unions are so great?

http://www.jsonline.com/news/milwaukee/100108249.html

With the district in a financial crisis and hundreds of its members facing layoffs, the Milwaukee teachers union is taking a peculiar stand: fighting to get their taxpayer-funded Viagra back.
The union has asked a judge to order the school board to again include Pfizer Inc.’s erectile dysfunction drug and similar pills in its health insurance plans.
The filing is the latest in a two-year legal campaign in which the union has argued, so far unsuccessfully, that the board’s policy of excluding erectile dysfunction drugs discriminates against male employees. The union says Viagra, Cialis, Levitra and others are necessary treatment for “an exclusively gender-related condition.”

Insert your own joke here.
The Patriot- So a fight for teachers to be able to engage in recreational sex is something the taxpayers should pay for? I guess there are fools everywhere.

Answer:

Viagra should not be covered on medical insurance.

It’s not a “medication”, and does not treat an “illness”.

Could I have temporary erectile dysfunction?

Tuesday, August 16th, 2011 | Permalink

I have masterbated every day 1-5 times a day ever since I was 7 years old. I am now 20. I have had ED since 13 but the doctors wouldnt believe me. I finally found a doctor who believed me and I got put on levitra. I dont like the side effect so I heard of supplements like l-arginine and I started taking it for a little over two weeks. It worked a little. It gave me half of an erection and I was taking 5 grams a day with pycnogenol but thats it. I’m going to start using AAKG this week because I heard its stronger. But my original question is if I stop masterbating for a while will my erections come back? And has masterbating so much caused me to have temporary ED? Thanks

Problems with Cozaar?

Sunday, August 14th, 2011 | Permalink

I started taking this drug called Cozaar for high blood pressure and notice dizziness and almost zero libido. I mean this stuff seems like it just neuters me.
So instead of my doc taking me off this drug he just prescribes me levitra.
I mean I am 35 year old fit trim guy, I don’t wan’t have to take a pill to get it up.
My blood pressure was 160/90 when went in but I am going to try to lower it with diet and
exercise. Does anyone out there have any advise, I am too young to have to live with boner problems.
Is there a remedy?

Thanks.

Answer:

Give me a ‘thumbs down’ if you like but I am quite frankly sick and tired of the ‘water cure’. You are a human being not a fish. Cozaar is losartan potassium which is an angiotensin receptor blocker. It is an excellent medication to treat hypertension. Unfortunately all drugs which lower blood pressure may reduce libido and cause erectile dysfunction. I do not feel that it was appropriate for your physician to continue the losartan and add vardenafil hydrochloride (Levitra). A physician should only treat the side effect of a drug with another medication if the primary drug is absolutely essential. There are far too many excellent anti-hypertensive agents which should be tried prior to concluding that you require another medication due to losartan’s side effects. It is true that all drugs which lower blood pressure may lead to decreased libido and erectile dysfunction simply because one drug has these problems does not mean that another drug will as well. It is almost always possible to find a blood pressure medication that a person will tolerate without causing such problems. You really need to go back to your physician and respectfully insist that a different blood pressure medication is tried. If I may be of further assistance please let me know. I wish you the very best of health and in all things may God bless. JR

She needs more energy with me. What do you recommend?

Saturday, August 6th, 2011 | Permalink

My GF thinks that there is a stimulant or amphetamine in Levitra that I take. As far as I know it is strictly a medication for ED. She says, “when you take that stuff it seems like you can go all night.” So she has suggested everything from taking one of my Levitra tablets herself to taking No Doze to stay awake with me.
I don’t want to give her one of my pills because Levitra and Viagra have not been FDA approved yet for women. I also don’t want her taking any energy pills as that might just make her irritable later on.
Are there any natural supplements or over the counter remedies that would act like a romantic stimulant for women? Would Gingsing tablets work?
I have seen a urologist. He told me to take more Levitra.
I am not a young man- but thanks for the compliment.

Answer:

You try takiing less Levitra. She should NOT take any stimulants and especially not your pills — they’re not for women. There are supplements and lubricants for women which can be bought at a healthfood store or pharmacy. I’m concerned why a young man would need an ED drug. If you don’t need it and take it then it can have the effect you mention. Maybe you should see a urologist.

Is there anything out there that will allow us to have a normal fullfilling sex life without being dangerous to his health. Apparently his meds are doing this ie Atenolol and Lisinopril. I don’t think Viagra, Cialis or Levitra are options

Answer:

. If he’s taking prescribed meds, he needs to ask his doc about this.
